    Tomas Diago

    Founder & Chairman of the Board

    Tomás Diago founded Softonic in 1997 as part of his final year project for university. In five years, he has grown the company from a humble file sharing website to become one the world´s largest Internet companies. Today, he is responsible for leading the global business of more than 400 employees in offices located across Europe, Asia and America.

    Tomás has been awarded the “National Young Entrepreneur Award” by the Confederación Española de Asociaciones de Jóvenes Empresarios (CEAJE), the “Businessman of the Future Award” by the Catalan Association Foment de Treball Nacional, the “Emerging Entrepreneur Award” by the consulting firm Ernst & Young, and the “Entrepreneur of the Year Award” by the magazine Emprendedores.

    Tomás is a Technical Engineer in Computer Management and an Information Systems Engineer conferred by the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB-Sabadell) and the Universitat La Salle (Universitat Ramon Llull) respectively.

    Prior to founding Grupo Intercom, Joaquim served as CEO at Infojobs.net, where he continues to be a Board Member. He is also current a Board Member at Careesma and Nextret.

    Joaquim is a qualified engineer (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya), and he holds an MBA from ESADE Business School.

    Jean is also currently a board member of Heptagon Advanced Micro Optics and Inside Secure.

    Jean graduated from Telecom ParisTech and has a post-graduate degree in Artificial Intelligence. He is senior lecturer at Telecom ParisTech and HEC.

He also helped found and currently serves as Director of the Silicon Valley Education Foundation and is a Board member of the National Parks Conservation Association.

    He worked as advisory Director of the global private equity firm General Atlantic LLC, and executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cadence Design Systems Inc., a supplier of electronic design automation software and services, where he also held various positions of responsibility such as President and CEO, and Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, among others. Prior to that, he held senior management roles at the Marriott Corporation, Red Lion Hotels and Inns, Agrico Overseas Investment Company and N-ReN International.
